Born in 1987, Deborati Seth completed her B.F.A (Painting) and M.F.A. (Painting) from Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan. As an artist, she is interested in the of analogue photography negative film. She works with the distortion of real objects and situations translating these image resources into her visual language. The artist draws inspiration from her surroundings and puts her every day experiences to use to define her visual composition. Her process involves starting with a no colour situation and continuously experimenting with multiple colours, thereby attempting to bring in a new concept through her compositions. She defines her work as an expression of semi-surrealist thought. The budding artist has largely exhibited in West Bengal.
