Sanjoy Patra completed his B.F.A. and M.F.A in Painting from Kala Bhavana, Viswa Bharati University (Santiniketan). Drawing from the cyber culture in the modern world, Patra uses traditional art to represent the modern technological time as wellas materialistic world. Keeping this cyber culture at the core of his practice, the artist depicts the modern and contemporary world through ancient mythological stories. Sanjoy Patra has had solo shows in Hyderabad and Chennai. He has also been a part of various group shows in cities like New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai as well internationally in UK, Malaysia and Greece.
