Born in West Bengal, Jayeeta Chatterjee completed her Bachelors in Fine Arts in Print Making from Kala Bhavan, Visva Bharati, Santiniketan, West Bengal and her Masters in Fine Arts in Print Making from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Gujarat. She works with prints and ideas of the space and its psychological and cultural motifs have been the main idea of her art works. The core elements of her works include issues within the walls and life of middle class women. The artist has participated in national and international Exhibitions like the 7th Ulsan International Woodcut Print Art Festival in Korea, ‘Plotion’, Kala Bhavan Annual Exhibition, ICCR, Kolkata. She has also received awards like Awards in Print Making from Santiniketan Society of Visual Art and Design, Santiniketan. Jayeeta currently resides and works in Vadodara, Gujarat.
